So I had a few ideas this month. I decided on Athena, Goddess of War, since the theme is all over the news at the moment. I just wanted to do a strong, unafraid woman engrossed in battle. I thought it was a simple way of depicting real women playing a role in war and being heroes in their own right. It didn't turn out anything like I had envisaged, but its still ok!

Roald Dahl & Quentin Blake

My favourite author as a kid was Roald Dahl. I re-read all his books over and over and over again. The books were made all the more magical by the illustrations of Quentin Blake. They are still both heroes of mine!

Some Self Portraits

I used mixed media (for the first time in absolutely ages) and did as many as I could, but didnt make the 28. I did some just looking in the mirror and others (after I got bored holding the mirror) by looking at great artists work and being inspired!
